CMS-260 Carbon molecular sieve application

  CMS-260 Carbon molecular sieve for separating nitrogen from the air under normal temperature and low pressure, much better than that under the low temperature and high pressure. There are more advantages such as faster nitrogen generation speed and lower cost. Therefore, CMS is the first and only choice for PSA nitrogen plants. Nitrogen is widely used in all the industries of  chemical, electronics, food, coal, medical, cable, heat treatment, transportation, and storage, etc.

     The air will be purified by compression to remove oil, water and dust before filled in   PSA generator.

Pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generation system:

the compressed air flows from bottom to top through the adsorption tower, which is full of CMS. The oxygen molecule will be adsorbed by the surface of CMS, while the nitrogen will go on flowing to the buffer tank. After adsorbing for a certain time, the CMS in the tower needs regeneration as it is saturated by the oxygen molecule. Regeneration will be realized by stopping adsorption and reducing pressure in the tower. The alternation of adsorption and regeneration of the two towers makes sure the nitrogen can be produced continuously.

   Pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generation is realized by the selective adsorption characteristic of CMS, and different adsorption capacity under different pressure. When pressure arise, the oxygen will be adsorbed because of its faster expansion speed in the micropore structure of CMS, thus oxygen and nitrogen is separated. While pressure reduces, the oxygen is desorbed, and CMS regenerated. This cyclic operation let the nitrogen generation in succession.
